RMG Plumbing had a website that existed but did not work. I rebuilt it on WordPress around one job: turning local searches and ad clicks into phone calls.

The Challenge

Their site was built on the GoDaddy website builder — fine as a placeholder, useless as a marketing asset. There was no real control over page structure, no way to build proper landing pages for Google Ads, and no meaningful handle on how the site was indexed.

The practical result was that money spent on advertising had nowhere good to land, and organic search barely registered them against competitors in the same service area.

Before touching design, I spent time on the local plumbing market — what the competition ranked for, how people actually search when a pipe has burst, and what a customer needs to see in the first three seconds to make a call.

The Approach

01

Platform migration

Moved off the GoDaddy builder onto a custom WordPress build, so structure, speed and markup were mine to control rather than the platform's.

02

Custom design

A modern, responsive design that reads as a professional trade business and speaks to residential and commercial clients without splitting the site in two.

03

Landing pages for advertising

Dedicated pages per service and campaign, so ad spend lands on a page that matches the search rather than a generic homepage.

04

Foundational SEO

Clean site structure, written metadata, and service and location keywords worked into real copy rather than bolted on.

05

Lead forms

Short, honest forms — the fields needed to quote a job and nothing else — placed where a visitor is already deciding to get in touch.

06

Click-to-call

Every phone number tappable on mobile, with call and email buttons held within reach on small screens. Most plumbing enquiries start on a phone, standing next to the problem.

The Result

The rebuilt site gave RMG something they did not have before: a place to send traffic that was built to convert it. Engagement improved, enquiries came through the forms and the phone rather than falling through a broken contact page, and the service pages gave them ground to compete on locally.

More importantly, the site became something that could be advertised against. Campaigns had somewhere specific to land, and the business could be found on its own terms rather than by name alone.
