About / Gio Acosta

I build things for the world I'm interested in.

Digital, creative and visual work shaped by a lifelong interest in cars, design and the people who build, race and obsess over them.

One person, working close to the subject. No team, no account layer — you work directly with me, and most of what's on this site was made standing in a garage or a pit lane rather than behind a desk.

The Short Version

I came to this from the digital side, and then the cars caught up.

I've spent more than a decade in marketing and digital — building websites, running SEO and strategy, watching what actually happens to work once it's live. That side of it still interests me.

The creative part grew out of it. Photography first, then video, then the direction behind both. At some point it stopped being the thing I did after work.

Cars were always there underneath. Not as a category to market — just something I've paid attention to for as long as I can remember. The machines, the racing, the people who keep them running.

Putting the two together made sense. I can make something look right and know what it has to do once it's online. Most projects only get one of those.

A creative working inside car culture, not adjacent to it.

I work with automotive and motorsport brands that care how they look and how they show up online.

Cars are the common thread.

From the garage to the paddock, I'm interested in the machines, the people behind them and the stories that make them matter.

Building

A body of work at the intersection of cars, design and digital.

Point of View

I'd rather make fewer things that people remember than more things that disappear into the feed.

Volume is easy now. Attention isn't. I'd rather wait for the right light, ask why a car was built the way it was, and get the crop, the sequence and the way a page loads right. None of that announces itself, but it's the whole difference.
